About Brandin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. This page is me in a nutshell. Please be sure to check all the links to get
the full perspective.
I was born in Newport Beach, California, back in the 80's, and have lived there most of my life. My family has a strong background of entrepreneurship. My grandfather is the owner of a worldwide medical instruments company and my father owns an engineering firm. Growing up with these trends, I have continued the family dynasty trends let's say. Currently, I reside at my home in Long Beach and up in the San Francisco Bay Area where I attend school and do business. I possess a rare Myers Briggs type INTJ with a strong "I" (introverted), "N" (intuitive), and "J" (judger), with a combination of "T" (thinker), almost passing with "F" (feeling). I'm all about integrity, most of the time, drowning myself constantly thinking of new ideas and trying to make something more efficient.
Education
I graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 2004, where I was heavily involved with the school's
yearbook production (Galleon volumes 71 & 72). I also spent a semester assisting the ASB accountant's
clerk. I was enrolled in the school's Franklin Acedemy, which is one of their Smaller Learning Communities,
that included integrated ciriculum focused on the study of business and technology. I absolutely enjoyed my
time there. Sometimes I wish I could do it over just for fun.
After high school I stook around in the OC for a while and attended Orange Coast College. There I was
involved with the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) organization for a short time
but then found myself doing other more important things. After changing my major three different times,
I realized that it's important to find what you really want to do in life. "If you do what you love, you'll
never have to work a day in your life." Don't pull your hair out just because you want to be on top to do
everything. There's plenty of time to do research and experimentation on your own and you have your whole life to
do it.
My last year there I became on oarsman with Coast Crew (Men's
Rowing Team) where I raced several schools such as UCSD & USC. I never really was a star athlete but I
didn't want to miss my chance and say I never did any sport in college. I'm suprised I did as well as I did.
Coast Crew is a one-of-a-kind program in the nation that is largely overlooked at. The school and the team
have my high regards.
Today, I attend California State University at Long Beach where I plan to finish my degree
in Business Management with a minor in Information Systems Science. LBSU's College of Business (CBA)
is nationally ranked as one of the best in the nation. It's a hard program to get in to and I was
lucky I was accepted. After college, I don't know exactly where I will end up, but I have a good
idea of what I want to do.
...and yes. I have continued my involvement with the sport of rowing. I have successfully
become an athlete with Beach Crew's lightweight varsity boat. While I will still see my old
team at Coast from time to time, Beach Crew focuses on a different approach of competition
that is more geared towards local teams and up in the northwest part of the United States.
Career
Right now I work for the California State University, Office of Chancellor Charles B. Reed, as a
Student Assistant in the Custom Application Support Services department (CASS). My main assignment
is assisting with the deployment of their Microsoft Office SharePoint Collaboration System and their
system-wide Intranet. Occationally I assist with training seminars catered by the CAPP group.
I am a 51% owner of a partnership called Imaginational Insights, specializing in
providing digital solutions to several small-to-medium sized companies in Orange County and the
Bay Area. Many clientele include working with retail, marketing, manufacturing, local government,
and real estate operations. Occasionally I teach seminars to firms on technological advances in
the world. I try to stay up on the latest trends and alternatives for people.
Before doing that I had an internship in the In-Flight Entertainment industry with Rogerson
Aircraft Company in Irvine, CA. I specifically worked with the interactive GPS mapping software
that ran on the planes. New maps had to be created and sent to different airlines almost on a weekly
basis. I also did occasional software testing with our TV units in the lab when EchoStar (DISH
Network) would release a service bulletin. Before my internship ended I was in charge of converting
the company's map database to provide a more dynamic way of changing items on the map to better serve
our customers. A lot of strategies were developed to increase our quality of service within the
company.
I previously had spent some time right after high school with an E-commerce development group in
Costa Mesa, CA, called 4X Development. The company specialized in providing E-commerce shipping solutions
in the motorcycle parts and accessories industry to several dealers and manufacturers in the area, such as Bell
Powersports and M2R.
Other Facts
Have you ever taken those weird surveys online? Here are some I've taken that probably explain a little more about who I am and how I think:
Personality Type:

Rationals, are the problem solving temperament, particularly if the problem has to do with the many complex systems that make up the world around us. Rationals might tackle problems in organic systems such as plants and animals, or in mechanical systems such as railroads and computers, or in social systems such as families and companies and governments. But whatever systems fire their curiosity, Rationals will analyze them to understand how they work, so they can figure out how to make them work better.
Rationals are very scarce, comprising as little as 1 percent of the population. But because of their drive to unlock the secrets of nature, and to develop new technologies, they have done much to shape our world.
The Four types of Rationals are:
Architects (INTP) | Masterminds (INTJ) | Inventors (ENTP) | Field Marshals (ENTJ)
