Please be aware that submissions to certain areas (i.e. guestbook and blogs) are available to the general public. It is the user's choice to post what they want. Though we take every effort to protecting your information, we are not responsible for any circumstances that occur at the user's expense.
The SHORT Version:
We at Brandin.com Internet Services (hereby referred to as BCIS) respect our viewers' right to privacy. Personal and/or identifying information is requested only when necessary, and is closely protected. We only use identifying information to provide and improve our service to our viewers. We do not sell, barter, trade, swap, exchange, lease, rent, loan, distribute, disseminate, broadcast, publish, fold, mutilate or spindle our viewers' data in any way; nor have we done in the past; nor will we do so in the future.
The LONG Version: What data we collect, and how...
We request certain information from our users when they make inquiries, etc.. The personal information collected may include logins, system configurations, names, location, IP addresses, email addresses as necessary.
Some information is optional, and some is required. By consenting to a user agreement, you may be obliged to share some information. We insist on knowing your name and email address when you create a comment, for instance, but we only ask nicely that you tell us what sort of computer you have.
We log info like hits, IP addresses, email headers, platform and browser configurations, times and dates, and we sometimes use cookies.
What for?
The only reason BCIS ever requests personal or identifying information is to perform services for our customers or to improve upon those services, and never to scope out potential new love interests from our user base. We usually specify what it will be used for when the identifying information is requested. In the event that we request information without specifying EXACTLY to which uses it will and won't be put, well, don't panic; any information you submit is always protected by our privacy policy.
Mailing Lists
BCIS maintains mailing lists which we use to keep our fans appraised of the latest BCIS happenings. Participation is voluntary; you'll never be automatically added to any mailing list without being given an option to decline; and we'll be happy to remove you from the list any time, at your request. Names and email addresses of mailing list recipients are never shared with anyone in any way, of course.
Data Security
We use various physical, electronic, and clerical procedures to safeguard all customer information, prevent unauthorized access to our databases, maintain data accuracy, and to ensure that customer data is never misused, fnord.
What Data is NOT for
We do NOT sell, barter, trade, swap, exchange, lease, rent, loan, distribute, disseminate, broadcast or publish our user's personal data in any way. We like spam even less than you do, probably, so BCIS will not spam you, nor will BCIS contract, permit, abet, abide, allow or facilitate anyone else to spam you.
We never use or share identifying information except as outlined above without also providing explicit notification and an opportunity to decline or discontinue.
We will never provide identifying information to any groups or individuals, public or private (excepting spooky all-seeing governmental agencies with valid warrants, as required by US and/or local law; and then only if our lawyer says we have to).
